Data Center
ITDM provides design, implementation, services and specialist consulting for the data center, as well as maintenance and operation support in large data centers, at both physical and application level.
A data center is the space where a company keeps most of the ICT infrastructure that supports its business: servers, data storage systems, computer systems and telecommunication infrastructure, together with environmental control systems such as air conditioning, fire suppression and other safety devices.
The key word is redundancy: energy and infrastructure resources beyond those needed to run it, so that the service is always reachable and the risk of losing data is minimal. Data is stored redundantly with RAID strategies and, in the event of a blackout, backup power from batteries and independent generators takes over.
