The second half of 2019 will see a major change in the Cloud world. IBM has announced that, barring unforeseen events, it will acquire Red Hat in a deal worth around 34 billion dollars. This is just one of the many moves in the game involving the biggest players in the Cloud computing market, which currently has an estimated value of 1 trillion dollars.
Another field, another game. We are talking about the one played on the field of business data in the cloud by Oracle, which, through the acquisition of Datafox, is challenging the products provided by its competitor Amazon Web Service.
And it is precisely while big players such as IBM, Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Oracle compete with new technologies and competitive plans that more and more companies are deciding to migrate to the Cloud to benefit from the many advantages that digitalisation offers to companies and to small and medium-sized enterprises.
