Discovering the world of Red Hat and Nutanix
Red Hat is a US multinational company dedicated to Software development and to supporting free and Open Source Software in the Enterprise, that is business, environment.
It is usually associated with its operating system for Enterprise environments, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and with its acquisition of the Open-Source application server JBoss, and it deals more generally with operating systems, middleware, applications, management products, support, training and consulting services in these areas.
It creates, maintains and contributes to several free Software projects.

Nutanix Inc. is an American Cloud Computing Company that sells Software, Cloud services (desktop, disaster recovery and Cloud monitoring) and Software-defined storage.
The Company has moved from manufacturing Hardware devices to focusing on subscription Software.

Partnership
Red Hat and Nutanix have signed a strategic agreement to offer an effective solution for building, scaling and managing Cloud-native applications on-premise and in Hybrid Clouds.
The collaboration combines their respective technologies, enabling the installation, interoperability and management of Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux with the Nutanix Cloud platform, including Nutanix AOS and AHV.

The two companies are working together to provide more timely support by aligning their product roadmaps.
Rajiv Ramaswami, President and CEO of Nutanix: “Customers can contact either company for support issues, since they are working together to offer the best possible experience for the interoperability of certified products”.
Paul Cormier, President and CEO of Red Hat:
“Our partnership with Nutanix brings a winning offering of hyperconverged solutions to the open hybrid Cloud, giving our customers more choice in how to deploy their containerised workloads, backed by a common support experience”.

The advantages of the Partnership
The advantage is tangible and evident, and it is worth evaluating the application scenarios straight away.
The savings are so many and so significant that this is a solution worth getting to know right away.
Nutanix makes it possible to achieve all this with disarming ease.
It is striking for its response in terms of performance and volumes, which increases linearly and steadily each time additional hardware is added.
Potentially, the system can grow indefinitely and with heterogeneous hardware.
The value of Nutanix lies in giving customers a response that exceeds their expectations.
Key elements of the Partnership
Red Hat OpenShift as the reference option for the enterprise Kubernetes full stack on Nutanix Cloud Platform.
Customers who want to run Enterprise Linux and OpenShift on hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) will be able to use a leading Cloud platform from Nutanix, which includes both AOS and AHV.
Nutanix Cloud Platform is one of the preferred HCI choices for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift.
This will allow customers to deploy virtualised and containerised workloads on hyperconverged infrastructure, leveraging the combined benefits of Red Hat’s open hybrid cloud technologies and Nutanix’s hyperconverged offerings.
Nutanix AHV is now a Red Hat-certified hypervisor, which means full support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift on Nutanix Cloud Platform.
The certification offers enterprise customers a simplified full stack solution for their containerised and virtualised cloud-native applications.
This certification gives Red Hat customers a further choice in hypervisor deployments, especially at a time when many organisations are exploring innovative and modern virtualisation technologies.
More integrated support provides faster resolution times for joint customers.
Thanks to its distributed architecture, Nutanix Cloud Platform offers a highly scalable and resilient IT environment, particularly well suited to enterprise deployments of Red Hat OpenShift.
The platform also includes fully integrated unified storage, successfully addressing many of the complex challenges that operators routinely face when configuring and managing storage for stateful containers.
